Welcome my Obnoxious Criaturas!

So I figured my first post should be a proper introduction. My name is Barbara, I am an artist under the moniker Obnoxious Creativity, and a Pre-K teacher. I have been teaching in a Pre-K for All program in Queens, NY for the last 8 years. I received my Masters in Early Childhood at Hunter College, and I am NYS Certified from birth to 2nd grade.

Why am I doing this?

Well like most teachers, or let me rephrase as most of the country, I am in quarantine, and not working. It was announced on Sunday that all schools in NYC would be shut down until April 20, 2020, and that included Pre-K for Programs. In the past few days, I've received messages from friends of mine with young children, asking for advice, help, even for worksheets (which btw dittos and worksheets are a big no-no in the Pre-K community). Anyways, I started thinking there not much for remote teaching at that age group, but I also thought I'm an excellent resource! So tonight I sat down, created this website, and then attached this blog, named after my favorite hashtag #PreKLife, and here we are.

So I want to say welcome! I'm going to post as much as I can, if you have any questions or have a topic please feel free to leave a comment. Also please feel free to share, during these times we have to use the internet as our resource, so if this is how I can help so be it!
